In response to global sustainable development trends and the needs of local industries in environmental monitoring and green transformation, the department will be officially renamed, starting from Academic Year 2026 (August 1, 2026), to: Department of Environmental Science and Biotechnology, National Formosa University (formerly: Department of Biotechnology)
This renaming aims to clearly reflect the department’s progressive integration of “Environmental Science × Biotechnology” as an interdisciplinary development direction. Future curricula will cover areas such as environmental medicine, pollution detection, carbon inventory, and biotechnological applications. The department will continue to strengthen practice-oriented training and certification guidance mechanisms to cultivate green technology professionals equipped with sustainability perspectives and specialized skills.
